“In 2010, inspired by the mission of tackling educational inequality, I trained as a Secondary school business teacher via the Teach First programme. Fast forward to 2016, I was a Head of School at an Alternative Provision Academy.

In both of these roles, I experienced the immense joys that can come from working with young people, but I also learned more about the harsh realities and challenges that some children and young people face, at home, at school and in their communities.

In 2019, I set up Simms Coaching and Consultancy to do meaningful work with leaders who want to transform education.
